Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Freight Broker at Shine Logistics. The Freight Broker will source and secure freight opportunities, negotiate rates with carriers and shippers, and manage load configurations to ensure timely, cost-effective transportation. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with clients and carriers, coordinating dispatching activities, and monitoring shipments to proactively resolve delays or issues. The role involves maintaining accurate documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize operational efficiency. The Freight Broker will also provide responsive customer service, handle inquiries, and support account growth through effective communication and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage, including sourcing carriers, negotiating rates, and managing loads.
- Strong Customer Service and Account Management abilities to build relationships, handle inquiries, and support client retention and growth.
- Experience with Dispatching, coordinating loads, and tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Solid understanding of logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and carriers.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems and common office software tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems under time pressure.
- Previous experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation is preferred; relevant education or certifications in logistics or business are a plus.
