Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a Freight Broker. As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing freight transactions, establishing and nurturing client relationships, coordinating with carriers, and negotiating contracts. Daily tasks include managing shipments, dispatching drivers, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining up-to-date account information for clients. The role also requires collaboration with team members to ensure operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Experience in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage with a strong understanding of freight operations
- Proficiency in Customer Service to effectively address client needs and resolve issues
- Skills in Dispatching to coordinate carriers and drivers efficiently
- Account Management expertise to maintain client relationships and manage accounts effectively
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting
- Familiarity with transportation management platforms and logistics software is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred
- Prior experience in the logistics industry is an advantage
