Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freight Broker role located in Mohali, Punjab. The Freight Broker will coordinate shipments between shippers and carriers, negotiate rates, and secure capacity to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing load boards, scheduling and dispatching trucks, tracking freight status, resolving service issues, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves building and maintaining relationships with clients and carriers, providing proactive communication and customer service, and collaborating with internal teams to meet performance targets. The Freight Broker will be expected to work within established processes, meet KPIs, and contribute to continuous improvement of brokerage and dispatch operations.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Freight Brokerage and Brokerage activities, including negotiating rates and securing carrier capacity.
- Strong Customer Service and Account Management skills to build and sustain long-term relationships with shippers and carriers.
- Experience with Dispatching, including scheduling, monitoring loads, and coordinating daily transport activities.
- Knowledge of transportation, logistics, and supply chain fundamentals, including common modes, lanes, and industry terminology.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Comfort with using TMS/CRM tools, load boards, and basic office software for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Atlanta, GA, with strong time management, attention to detail, and reliability.
- Relevant experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation; an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
