Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Freight Broker located in Chandigarh, India. The Freight Broker will be responsible for managing relationships with carriers, negotiating transportation rates, and coordinating freight shipments. Daily tasks include sourcing carriers, handling logistics documentation, troubleshooting shipment issues, and ensuring shipments are delivered on time and within budget. The role requires effective communication with clients, managing dispatch operations, and monitoring market trends to provide cost-efficient solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in logistics management, carrier sourcing, and negotiating transportation rates
- Strong communication and relationship management skills to liaise with carriers and clients effectively
- Ability to manage freight operations, coordinate dispatch, and ensure timely deliveries
- Familiarity with logistics documentation and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address shipment issues and optimize processes
- Knowledge of market trends and the ability to develop cost-effective freight solutions
- Proficiency in using logistics software and technology tools
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields is preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus
