Role Description
As a Freight Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting shipping data to drive cost savings and operational efficiency. You will monitor the global freight market, manage carrier relationships, and ensure our cargo moves seamlessly across borders.
Key Responsibilities:
• Logistics Optimization: Analyze freight costs and transit times to identify the most efficient routes for containerized cargo.
• Vessel & Container Management: Monitor vessel schedules, port congestion, and equipment availability to mitigate delays.
• Market Intelligence: Track global shipping trends and freight rate fluctuations to support procurement strategies.
• Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards to track KPI performance across import and export lanes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with our global trade desks and external freight forwarders to ensure alignment.
Qualifications</p>
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Economics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in ocean freight analytics or international logistics.
• Deep understanding of import/export documentation, Incoterms, and container shipping operations.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (SQL or Power BI experience is a major plus).
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple carrier contracts.
• A proactive problem-solver who can navigate the "ever-changing" seas of global logistics.
