Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Freelance Video Editor role based in Dehradun. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing and assembling raw footage into polished videos for digital campaigns, social media, websites, and brand storytelling. Daily tasks include trimming and sequencing clips, adding transitions, audio, captions, and visual effects, as well as color correcting and color grading to maintain brand consistency. The role also involves collaborating with the creative, marketing, and web teams to interpret briefs, align video content with campaign objectives, and deliver assets on schedule. The Video Editor will manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintain organized file structures, and optimize video outputs for various platforms and formats.
Qualifications
- Strong video production and video editing skills, including working with raw footage, timelines, and multiple formats.
- Proficiency in video color grading and basic color correction to ensure consistent, high-quality visuals.
- Hands-on experience with motion graphics and graphics to create intros, lower-thirds, overlays, and simple animated elements.
- Comfort using industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and basic motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, follow brand guidelines, and deliver videos optimized for social media, web, and advertising platforms.
- Strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or a diploma/degree in film, media, digital design, or a related field is preferred.
- Portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous video editing and motion graphics work is required.
