Role Description This is a full-time Freelance Video Editor role based in Chennai with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing sports and athlete-focused video content for social media, marketing campaigns, and training materials, ensuring consistent quality and brand alignment. Day-to-day tasks include organizing raw footage, assembling sequences, applying transitions, integrating motion graphics, and performing basic to advanced color grading. The role also involves collaborating with coaches, marketers, and creatives to interpret briefs, refine storylines, and deliver engaging videos on schedule. The Video Editor is expected to manage multiple projects, maintain file and asset organization, and stay current on sports media and video trends.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess video production and video editing skills for assembling high-quality, engaging sports content.
- Candidates should possess video color grading and graphics skills to enhance visual impact and maintain brand consistency.
- Candidates should possess motion graphics skills for creating dynamic intros, overlays, and sport-specific visual elements.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) and basic audio editing capabilities.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs, work to deadlines, and collaborate effectively in a hybrid environment based in Chennai.
- Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling, and a portfolio demonstrating sports or high-action video work.
- Prior experience in sports media, content creation, or related fields is preferred; relevant certification or degree in film, media, or communications is an advantage.
