Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled SQL Data Analytics Engineer with strong experience in digital marketing data ecosystems. This role focuses on transforming raw marketing data into actionable insights that drive campaign performance, customer acquisition, and ROI optimization.
The ideal candidate combines deep SQL expertise with an understanding of marketing metrics such as CTR, CAC, ROAS, conversion funnels, and attribution models, and can independently manage end-to-end data workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for extracting and analyzing marketing data from multiple sources (ad platforms, CRM, web analytics tools).
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and aggregation to build reliable datasets for campaign analysis.
- Analyze large-scale datasets to uncover trends in user behavior, campaign performance, and conversion funnels.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and structured datasets for reporting and dashboarding (e.g., performance marketing dashboards).
- Conduct data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across marketing reports.
- Collaborate with marketing, growth, and product teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Support A/B testing analysis, attribution modeling, and cohort analysis.
- Identify discrepancies in campaign data and troubleshoot issues across tracking systems.
- Ensure query performance optimization and efficient database usage.
- Document SQL logic, data definitions, and reporting workflows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in SQL-focused data analytics or data engineering roles.
- Advanced expertise in SQL: Joins, Subqueries, CTEs, Window Functions, Query Optimization.
- Strong experience working with digital marketing datasets (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Analytics, etc.).
- Solid understanding of marketing KPIs: CTR, CPC, CPA, CAC, LTV, ROAS, attribution models.
- Hands-on experience with data cleaning, validation, and quality assurance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, Data Analysis).
- Experience handling large datasets and performance tuning.
- Ability to translate business questions into data-driven solutions independently.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, Snowflake).
- Basic understanding of Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience working in performance marketing or growth analytics teams.
