Freelance Photographer & Photo Editor / Retoucher (Product, Fashion & Interior)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Freelance Photographer & Photo Editor / Retoucher who can manage both shoot execution and post-production workflows.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in product, fashion, and interior photography, along with strong expertise in high-end retouching and editing. You should be capable of executing shoots, understanding lighting setups, and delivering high-quality final outputs aligned with brand aesthetics.
A strong eye for detail, composition, lighting, and colour accuracy is essential, along with the ability to manage projects from shoot to final delivery within timelines.
Responsibilities:
Photography & Shoot Execution:
- Plan and execute shoots for product, fashion, and interior projects
- Set up lighting, camera angles, and compositions based on project briefs
- Work with both natural and studio lighting setups
- Coordinate with stylists, models, and team members during shoots
- Ensure sharp, well-exposed, and compositionally strong RAW outputs
- Adapt shooting style based on brand identity and creative direction
Editing & High end Retouching:
- Process RAW files and perform detailed retouching
- Colour correction and tonal balancing
- Skin retouching while maintaining natural texture
- Cleaning backgrounds and removing distractions
- Product shine control and reflection corrections
- Maintain a natural yet enhanced final look
Product Photography & Retouching:
- Capture clean, high-quality product images for e-commerce and campaigns
- Remove dust, scratches, and imperfections
- Ensure accurate colours and material textures
- Enhance surfaces such as fabric, metal, glass, jewellery, and lifestyle products
- Refine lighting, reflections, and shadows
- Maintain brand-specific tones and consistency
Fashion Photography & Retouching:
- Direct and shoot models with appropriate posing and lighting
- Maintain realistic skin tones and textures
- Correct colour casts and lighting inconsistencies
- Refine garments, wrinkles, and minor imperfections
- Ensure polished yet natural-looking outputs
Interior Photography & Retouching:
- Shoot interior spaces with correct framing and composition
- Correct perspective distortion and vertical alignment
- Balance interior and exterior lighting (window pulls)
- Improve exposure, colour temperature, and shadow recovery
- Remove unwanted elements and distractions
- Enhance space aesthetics while maintaining realism
Consistency Checks:
- Ensure all images align with brand guidelines
- Maintain consistency across shoots, campaigns, catalogues, and lookbooks
Organised File Handling:
- Follow proper file naming conventions
- Maintain structured folder organisation
- Backup RAW and working files
- Deliver final exports as per studio workflow guidelines
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a photographer and photo editor/retoucher (portfolio required)
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom
- Hands-on experience with camera equipment, lighting setups, and studio workflows
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, colour theory, skin tones, textures, and interior editing
- Ability to manage end-to-end workflows (shoot to delivery)
- Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining quality
- Strong visual aesthetics and attention to detail
- Familiarity with exports for web, print, and social media
- Professional communication and reliability
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of photography and retouching/editing experience required
Compensation:
Payment will be per project / per shoot / per image, depending on scope and complexity.
