Role Overview
As a Senior Data Solutions Engineer, you will play a key technical role in building and optimizing SQL-based data solutions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and help translate business needs into reliable, data-driven systems.
Key Responsibilities
SQL Development & Maintenance
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL scripts, stored procedures, and functions
- Ensure high performance and data accuracy across systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Accounting, HR, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams
- Gather requirements and implement scalable solutions
Reporting & BI
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and reports using SQL Server, SSRS (BIDS), and BI tools
- Provide insights to leadership (CFO, COO, Regional Heads)
ETL & Data Integration
- Design and maintain ETL pipelines for seamless data flow
- Ensure data consistency across multiple systems
Automation & Scripting
- Use PowerShell to automate database and reporting processes
Technical Leadership
- Maintain code using Git and follow best practices
- Document processes and mentor junior team members
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of strong T-SQL development experience
Expertise in Stored Procedures & SQL Functions
Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS/BIDS)
Hands-on experience in ETL design and implementation
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
Experience with Git (source control)
Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
Strong stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience in client-facing roles
Exposure to enterprise-level reporting environments
