Role Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong experience in requirements analysis, data analysis, and Agile delivery within the healthcare payer domain.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and IT teams, driving requirement gathering, solution design, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements
- Create user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
- Work closely with stakeholders to define scope and business value
- Perform data analysis and support issue resolution
- Collaborate with Scrum teams to ensure timely delivery
- Define acceptance criteria and validate deliverables
- Conduct gap analysis and identify process improvement opportunities
- Support testing, UAT, and post-implementation activities
- Communicate effectively across business, operations, and IT teams
- Provide guidance to junior analysts and support best practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
- Strong experience in:
- Requirements gathering & documentation
- Data analysis (SQL preferred)
- Agile / Scrum methodologies
- Experience in Healthcare / Health Insurance payer domain
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in testing, UAT support, and validation
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Nice to Have
- Experience with Salesforce
- Scrum Certification / Agile training
- Experience with process modeling tools (flowcharts, SIPOC, etc.)
