ThreatXIntel is looking for a Senior Search Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch to support the redesign and optimization of a large-scale document search platform.
The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in Java-based search systems, distributed search architecture, and Lucene internals, with proven experience operating search clusters handling billions of documents.
This role will focus on redesigning search indexes and improving search latency and performance for large-scale enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize search architectures using Apache Solr / OpenSearch
- Redesign and improve document search indexing strategies
- Work with Lucene-based search engines to improve performance and relevance
- Optimize search latency, indexing performance, and query response time
- Manage and tune distributed search clusters
- Implement and manage sharding, replication, and cluster coordination
- Support performance tuning and scalability improvements
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate search services into enterprise applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve search performance bottlenecks
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Java development
- Hands-on experience with Apache Solr, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch
- Strong understanding of Lucene search internals
- Experience managing large-scale search clusters
- Experience working with distributed systems and search architecture
