Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Identity Management Systems Administrator to support a leading university’s IT Security Services team. This is a remote freelance opportunity where you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems across both on-premises and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Identity & Access Management (IAM) systems
- Manage SSO (Single Sign-On) federations and authentication systems
- Handle account lifecycle management (provisioning, deprovisioning, access control)
- Integrate IAM systems with enterprise applications and services
- Troubleshoot, patch, and optimize IAM infrastructure
- Support IAM operations, incidents, and service requests
- Work on Microsoft 365 identity-related services
- Collaborate with security and IT teams on IAM roadmap and improvements
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Strong experience with:
- Okta / DUO / Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Microsoft Active Directory
- SSO & Federation technologies
- Experience with Oracle Identity Management Suite:
- Oracle Access Management (OAM)
- Oracle Internet Directory (OID)
- Oracle Unified Directory (OUD)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Working knowledge of SQL & databases
- Experience handling IAM operations in an enterprise environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of IAM experience
- Experience in higher education environments
- Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
