Job Description:
Batangarh News – a fast-growing, independent platform committed to fearless, people-centric reporting – is looking for enthusiastic Freelance News Reporters from across India to join our team on a flexible, rewarding basis.
We focus on ground-level stories: local civic issues, public grievances, everyday challenges, and the unfiltered opinions of common citizens.
We want you to bring to life the exact street-level interactions and public voices!
Key Responsibilities:
1) Identify and cover pressing local public problems.
2) Conduct on-the-spot interviews with ordinary citizens in streets, markets, colonies, and public spaces.
3) Record their honest opinions, experiences, and suggestions.
4) Produce complete, engaging video reports of 8–10 minutes length.
5) Deliver clear audio/video, obtain verbal consent where needed, maintain balance and factual accuracy.
Eligibility Criteria:
1) Graduation in Mass Communication.
2) Smartphone (or basic camera) with good recording quality.
3) Confidence to approach and interview strangers respectfully.
4) Passion for authentic, unbiased storytelling – no prior experience needed!
5) Should have good communication skills.
What We Offer:
1) Total flexibility – Work on your own schedule, whenever and as much as you like (ideal for students, professionals, homemakers, or part-time creators).
2) Competitive per-video payment: ₹300 – ₹1,000 per approved video (based on quality, depth, storytelling impact, and production value).
3) All-inclusive rate – This covers your travel, cameraman (if used), and equipment when shooting within your own city.
4) Payment on the 7th of every month – Only for videos approved by our team.
