Role Description
This is a part-time and remote position for a Freelance Medical Coding Trainer. The trainer will deliver quality training sessions on medical coding, create and update training materials, provide guidance on industry certifications, and assess learner progress. Other responsibilities include clarifying queries, enhancing learners’ understanding of medical coding concepts, and staying updated on industry trends to refine training content effectively.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Coding and thorough knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Experience in Coding, including practical application in healthcare or related industries
- Credentials such as RHIT or a background in Health Information Management
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems and the ability to explain complex topics clearly
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in training or teaching is a plus
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred
- Ability to work independently and provide engaging virtual training sessions
