Role Description

This is a contract-based Freelance Fashion Designer role in Mumbai, with a hybrid work model that allows a mix of in-office and remote work. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for sketching designs, creating mood boards, sourcing textiles, and overseeing the design process from concept to execution. Key tasks include collaborating with the production team, working on fittings, and incorporating modern embroidery techniques into fashion-forward silhouettes, while adhering to Ariiston’s ethos of sustainability and individuality.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Fashion Design and Textiles
• Expertise in Embroidery and Fitting
• Strong understanding of modern trends and the ability to create stylish, gender-inclusive designs
• Hands-on experience in the fashion industry or prior work with established labels is a plus
• Innovative thinking and an eye for detail in crafting unique and expressive designs
• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical fashion practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency in design software is an advantage, such as Adobe Illustrator or CLO 3D
