✏️ Role Overview
We are looking for a freelance creative writing instructor who loves working with children and can bring stories to life in a fun, engaging, and structured manner.
This is a per-class opportunity, ideal for someone who enjoys flexible work while making a real impact on young minds.
🧠 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct live online creative writing sessions for children (ages 6–14)
- Deliver sessions aligned with The Book Baker’s curriculum and teaching philosophy
- Encourage imagination, participation, and confidence in young writers
- Provide constructive, age-appropriate feedback on student work
- Ensure timely completion of batches once assigned
- Maintain a warm, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
- Coordinate with the internal team for planning and updates
💡 Who We’re Looking For
- Prior experience teaching or working with children (mandatory)
- Strong command of written and spoken English (mandatory)
- Background in creative writing, literature, education, or related fields
- Ability to simplify concepts and make sessions interactive and fun
- Reliable, committed, and able to complete assigned batches
- Comfortable conducting online classes (Google Meet/Zoom)
🌟 Bonus (Good to Have)
- Experience teaching creative writing specifically
- Published writing or storytelling experience
- Familiarity with children’s literature
💰 Compensation
