Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Java Spark Engineer with strong experience in payments domain and Agile/Scrum environments.
This role focuses on building and modernizing payment systems and dispute processing platforms, leveraging cloud-native architectures and distributed data processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems using Java (17/21) and Spring Boot
- Build and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark
- Develop cloud-native applications on AWS
- Work with microservices architecture and REST-based APIs
- Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes
- Contribute to payment systems modernization and dispute processing improvements
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams for sprint planning, development, and delivery
- Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure system reliability
- Apply best practices in clean code, design patterns, and system architecture
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with Java 17/21
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot & Microservices architecture
- Experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing
- Strong exposure to AWS cloud-native services
- Experience with Kubernetes (container orchestration)
- Proven experience in Payments domain (mandatory)
- Strong problem-solving and engineering mindset
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Nice to Have
- Experience with payment dispute systems or chargeback processing
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka, etc.)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
