We are looking for an engineer with hands-on experience in audio systems, speakers, and acoustic enclosures, with a strong understanding of how enclosure design affects sound performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop speaker/audio box enclosures.
- Calculate and optimize air volume, enclosure volume, and internal dimensions.
- Understand sound waves, frequency, resonance, and acoustic behavior.
- Perform basic frequency and acoustic calculations for speaker systems.
- Work with speaker drivers, ports, ducts, and enclosure configurations.
- Analyze and improve bass response, resonance, distortion, and overall sound quality.
- Coordinate with industrial/product designers to integrate acoustic requirements into the product.
- Support prototyping, testing, and tuning of audio products.
Required Skills
- Experience in speaker/audio product development.
- Strong understanding of acoustics and sound propagation.
- Knowledge of frequency, wavelength, resonance, and air pressure.
- Ability to calculate enclosure air volume and port dimensions.
- Understanding of sealed, bass-reflex/ported, and other speaker enclosure types.
- Practical experience with acoustic testing and tuning is preferred.
- Ability to translate acoustic requirements into practical product/enclosure designs.
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years of experience in audio, speaker, acoustic, or consumer electronics product development.
- Experience working with physical prototypes and manufacturers.
- Familiarity with acoustic simulation/testing tools is a plus.
