Role Description
This is a contract role for a Freelance 3D Animator, based on-site in Pune City. The 3D Animator will be responsible for creating high-quality animations for characters, environments, and objects in video games or related media. Day-to-day tasks include working closely with the art and design teams to develop visually appealing animations, ensuring fluid motion and lifelike character behavior. Additional responsibilities include refining existing animations, troubleshooting issues, and adhering to project timelines.
Qualifications
- Experience in 3D software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max
- Knowledge and skills in character rigging and skinning
- Ability to create high-quality animations, including for character movement and facial expressions
- Understanding of the principles of animation, such as weight, timing, and general movement
- Proficiency in collaborating with game designers, developers, and other artists to meet project requirements
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address animation and rigging issues
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced production environment
- Previous experience in animation for video games or films is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Game Design, or a related field preferred
