Description
Staff Counsel trial Attorney job duties include defending company-insured clients or the organization itself in civil litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury cases. Manage full caseloads from discovery through trial. Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents; conduct legal research; and handle expert witness retention. Develop litigation strategies, conduct settlement negotiations, and report case progress to claims associates and clients. Represent clients and the company in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the State of Texas
