The Franchise Manager will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening the performance of all franchise outlets. The role involves regular outlet audits, sales and profitability improvement, financial analysis (P&L), and acting as a secondary point of contact for new franchise enquiries. The objective is to ensure brand consistency, operational excellence, and sustainable franchise growth.
1. Franchise Operations & Compliance
- Conduct regular visits to franchise outlets to ensure compliance with brand standards, SOPs, hygiene, food safety, and operational guidelines.
- Identify operational gaps and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Ensure franchisees adhere to contractual obligations and brand policies.
- Coordinate with franchisees for smooth day-to-day operations.
2. Auditing & Reporting
- Perform periodic operational, stock, billing, and process audits across franchise outlets.
- Prepare audit reports highlighting deviations, risks, and improvement areas.
- Follow up with franchisees to ensure audit observations are closed within defined timelines.
3. Sales & Business Improvement
- Analyze outlet-wise sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and footfall.
- Suggest and implement sales-boosting initiatives, promotions, and operational improvements.
- Work closely with franchisees to improve customer experience and repeat business.
- Track performance metrics and recommend corrective strategies where required.
4. Financial Oversight & P&L Management
- Prepare and review monthly Profit & Loss statements for franchise outlets.
- Analyze key cost heads, margins, and profitability drivers.
- Assist franchisees in understanding their financial performance and improving profitability.
- Highlight financial risks or red flags to management.
5. Franchise Relationship Management
- Act as a bridge between franchisor and franchisees to ensure smooth communication.
- Address franchisee concerns and escalate critical issues to management when required.
- Support franchisees during operational challenges and transitions.
6. New Franchise Support (Secondary POC)
- Act as the second point of contact for new franchise enquiries.
- Provide initial information, documentation, and process guidance to prospective franchisees.
- Coordinate with management for site evaluation, onboarding, and handover processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Franchise audit compliance score
- Sales growth and profitability improvement of franchise outlets
- Timely preparation of P&L reports
- Closure rate of audit observations
- Franchisee satisfaction and retention
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in franchise operations, retail, QSR, or FMCG (preferred).
- Strong understanding of audits, SOPs, and compliance.
- Working knowledge of P&L, costing, and basic financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently for outlet visits.
- Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
