Position Summary
We are looking for a Fragrance Evaluator who is passionate about fragrances, detail-oriented, and highly organized to support our perfumery Library and Evaluation processes. This role is a critical part of our product development team, assisting in the formulation, evaluation and testing of fragrance products. The successful candidate will manage inventory, ensure quality control, and contribute to the creation of exceptional scents.
Key Responsibilities
· Evaluation: Evaluate fragrance samples and maintain detailed records of the results.
· Sample Management: Label, package, and dispatch fragrance samples for clients or internal use.
· Material Inspection: Perform quality control checks on all incoming raw materials and outgoing products, including packaging.
· Stock Tracking: Keep track of stock for raw materials, bases, and finished samples; ensure timely replenishment to prevent stockouts.
· Material Movement: Record all incoming and outgoing materials and products to maintain accurate inventory logs.
· Library Management: Manage the Fragrance Library along with evaluation records.
· Safety & Compliance: Ensure the lab is systematically organized, clean, and compliant with safety protocols and regulatory standards.
· Equipment: Ensure that lab equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for accurate testing.
· Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of formulations, sample codes, evaluation notes, and ingredient specifications.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related discipline is preferred. A Diploma/Certification in Perfumery or allied sciences is a plus.
- Experience: 1–3 years of prior experience in fragrance evaluation, compounding, or laboratory assistance is highly desirable.
- Olfactory Skills: Strong sense of smell with the ability to recognize and differentiate fragrance notes.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with a "stickler" attitude for precision and detail.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) for data entry, reporting, and inventory management.
