About the Engagement

A business in our community, a leading tech service provider to major global banks, is seeking one fractional specialist to support a structured, intensive ~6‑week capability uplift and knowledge transfer (KT) programme. The goal is to enable a new, relatively junior India‑based team to take ownership of key GRC and data‑privacy compliance processes covering multiple geographies across Asia and the Middle East for a global bank.



The specialist will work closely with both the transferring teams (typically bank employees or local contractors, outside India) and the receiving team (in India) to drive measurable clarity, build confidence, and help achieve a successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead an intensive knowledge transfer programme covering banking GRC and data‑privacy compliance system, data and process handover for multiple Asian and Middle Eastern jurisdictions.
• Structure and document process flows, controls, and governance required for BAU handover.
• Mentor and coach the target India‑based team to build capability and confidence to own end‑to‑end activities spanning systems, data and processes.
• Facilitate clear, impactful communication among international transferring teams and local recipients.
• Establish strong working relationships and build rapport with the international transferring team to achieve clear, specific, detailed and timely knowledge gathering.
• Establish social capital with the India team to ensure effective understanding and adoption.
• Write questionnaires, gather information, conduct document reviews, analyse gaps, take corrective actions.
• Conduct workshops, training sessions, and shadowing​/​hands‑on transition activities.
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies appropriately with timely escalation
• Provide weekly progress updates, readiness assessments, and success indicators.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven expertise in banking GRC, esp. Data Privacy Compliance, ideally with exposure to regulatory environments in multiple jurisdictions in Asia and the Middle East.
• Proven experience running knowledge transfer, uplift, or transition programmes in global services organisations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, especially in multicultural environments.
• Ability to build trust quickly and work with junior teams to elevate capability.
• Strong process orientation and ability to simplify complex current state models into standardised future state operating models.
• Comfortable engaging with global teams via MS Teams, email, and remote channels.
• Based in India, and able to visit target team’s office frequently during the engagement.

Engagement Structure

• Duration: ~6 weeks, full‑intensity engagement.
• Collaboration model: Hybrid — onsite in India for team uplift; remote with international stakeholders.
• Commercials: Retainer plus success fee linked to KT milestones and team readiness.
