Role Overview
We are seeking an FPGA Design Engineer with strong digital design fundamentals and hands-on experience in FPGA development, verification, and hardware validation. The role involves working across design, verification, and bring-up activities for complex FPGA-based systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement FPGA logic using Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL
- Develop and integrate digital blocks with a focus on performance and timing closure
- Perform functional verification using simulation and debugging tools
- Support FPGA synthesis, place & route, and timing analysis
- Work on FPGA platforms from Xilinx, Intel (Altera), and Microsemi
- Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for FPGA-based systems
- Integrate and validate standard interfaces and on-chip protocols
- Support hardware bring-up and board-level validation activities
- Debug hardware issues using logic analyzers, on-chip debug tools, and oscilloscopes
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using TCL / Perl
Required Skills & Experience
- 4–6 years of hands-on experience in FPGA design and development
- Strong fundamentals in digital logic design and RTL development
- Proficiency in Verilog / SystemVerilog / VHDL
- Experience with FPGA verification and hardware validation
- Embedded firmware development experience using C/C++
- Working knowledge of protocols such as AXI, AHB, APB, SPI, UART, I2C, USB, SERDES
- Experience with memory interfaces including DDR, LPDDR, or QDR
- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools and techniques
- Familiarity with FPGA design flows and scripting for automation
Education
- B.E. / B.Tech or M.E. / M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or a related discipline
