About Us
At 8OL Robotics, we are building indigenous communication and control systems for next-generation defence applications. Our focus lies in GNSS-denied navigation, jamming-resistant communication, and software-defined radio (SDR) systems.
We design and manufacture end-to-end hardware and software stacks—from RF frontends to embedded compute systems—completely in-house.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly driven FPGA & Embedded Systems Engineer with prior experience in Software Defined Radio (SDR) systems.
You will work on cutting-edge communication systems involving real-time signal processing, RF integration, and high-speed embedded platforms.
Key Responsibilities
FPGA Development
Design and implement FPGA-based signal processing pipelines
Work on modulation/demodulation (QAM, OFDM, etc.)
Develop high-speed interfaces (LVDS, JESD, SPI, UART, Ethernet)
Optimize latency and throughput for real-time SDR applications
Embedded Systems
Develop firmware for embedded platforms (STM32, ESP32, Linux-based systems)
Interface SDR hardware (e.g., AD9361, Pluto SDR, custom RF frontends)
Implement communication protocols and drivers
Work with RTOS / embedded Linux environments
SDR & RF Integration
Build and debug SDR pipelines (TX/RX chains)
Integrate RF frontends, ADC/DAC systems
Work with tools like GNU Radio, libiio, or custom DSP stacks
Debug real-world RF issues (noise, interference, jamming scenarios)
Required Skills
Strong experience with FPGA development (Verilog / VHDL)
Experience working on SDR platforms (e.g., Analog Devices ADALM-PLUTO SDR, USRP, LimeSDR, custom boards)
Good understanding of digital signal processing (DSP)
Experience with embedded systems programming (C/C++)
Familiarity with RF fundamentals and communication systems
Experience with Linux-based development environments
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience with Xilinx / Intel FPGA toolchains
Knowledge of high-speed data converters (ADC/DAC)
Familiarity with MIMO systems / beamforming / anti-jamming techniques
Experience in GNSS-denied or defence communication systems
Exposure to Ethernet-based video/data transmission pipelines (RTP/RTSP)
