Senior Frontend Developer

FP Markets is a well-established, globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. As we continue to scale, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Frontend Developer (React) to join our distributed IT team - a certified Great Place to Work®.

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Frontend Developer with strong expertise in React to help us build a high-performance client-facing web portal. This is a hands-on role where you'll contribute to the full software development lifecycle, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and deliver a seamless user experience.

Reporting to: CTO

Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces for a client portal using React
• Design and implement a scalable frontend architecture with a focus on performance and maintainability
• Work on simple and intuitive forms with occasional data visualizations (infographics)
• Ensure full test coverage (unit and integration tests) for components and features
• Implement localization/multilanguage support across the portal
• Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions
• Optimize code for scalability, reusability, and future-proofing

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
• Proficient with state management tools (e.g., Redux, Context API, React Query)
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling frameworks (e.g., CSS Modules, Tailwind CSS)
• Experience working with REST APIs and asynchronous data handling
• Familiar with localization frameworks (e.g., i18next, react-intl)
• Experience with bundlers and dev tools (Vite, Webpack, ESLint, Prettier)
• Solid knowledge of frontend architecture, component-driven development, and best practices
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English

• React (Hooks, Context, Redux)
• TypeScript
• Tailwind CSS / CSS Modules
• React Query / RTK Query
• Jest & React Testing Library
• i18next or similar localization library
• Vite / Webpack

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js)
• Familiarity with Storybook for UI component development
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for frontend projects
• Contributions to open-source or developer communities
