Role Description The Four Wheeler Technician and Quality Controller at Gurudev Motors - Škoda Cars Workshop Guindy is responsible for performing routine and complex mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic work on passenger vehicles. Daily tasks include inspecting vehicles, identifying issues, carrying out repairs and maintenance, and ensuring all work meets manufacturer and company standards. The role also involves conducting quality checks on completed jobs, auditing repair processes, verifying compliance with safety and quality guidelines, and documenting findings and corrective actions. Collaboration with service advisors, workshop supervisors, and other technicians is required to provide accurate updates, maintain workflow efficiency, and deliver high-quality service to customers. This is a full-time, on-site role based at the Guindy workshop in Chennai.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform Quality Control activities, including inspection of repairs and verification of adherence to workshop standards.
- Strong Analytical Skills to diagnose vehicle issues, interpret test results, and make data-driven decisions on repair methods.
- Experience in Quality Auditing, such as reviewing service processes, documentation, and compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance practices to prevent recurring issues and maintain consistent service outcomes.
- Understanding of Quality Management principles to support continuous improvement in workshop operations and customer satisfaction.
- Formal automotive technician training or diploma/ITI in automobile engineering or related field.
- Hands-on experience in four-wheeler servicing, diagnostics, and repairs, preferably with passenger cars.
- Familiarity with OEM service procedures, diagnostic tools, and workshop safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with service teams and management.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high technical and quality standards.
