Job Description – Founding Sales Development Representative (Founding SDR)

About the Role
We are looking for a Founding SDR who will help build and scale the company’s outbound pipeline engine from scratch. This role is designed for someone who thrives in high-paced startup environments, enjoys solving problems independently, and wants to play a key role in shaping the company’s go-to-market motion.
Unlike traditional SDR roles, the Founding SDR will own the full revenue journey — starting from lead generation, prospect engagement, qualification, and supporting deal progression until closure.
This role requires someone who is scrappy, resourceful, data-driven, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.
Key Responsibilities
Full Cycle Pipeline Ownership- Own the top-of-funnel pipeline creation by identifying, researching, and targeting ideal customer profiles (ICPs).
- Build prospect lists and outreach campaigns using tools like Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI tools.
- Run multi-channel outbound campaigns across email, cold calls, LinkedIn, and personalized outreach.
Prospect Engagement & Qualification- Initiate conversations with decision-makers and qualify prospects based on business needs and readiness.
- Clearly communicate the company’s value proposition to senior stakeholders and decision makers.
- Book and support discovery meetings while ensuring smooth transition through the sales process.
Supporting Revenue Conversion- Stay involved in opportunities beyond meeting booking by assisting with deal progression, follow-ups, stakeholder mapping, and deal acceleration.
- Work closely with Account Executives or founders to help convert pipeline into revenue.
GTM Process Building- Help design and refine outbound playbooks, messaging frameworks, and sales cadences.
- Maintain clean and accurate CRM records (HubSpot / Salesforce).
- Analyze campaign performance and continuously improve conversion rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work closely with marketing, product, and founders to refine targeting, positioning, and messaging.
- Share market insights to improve the company’s go-to-market strategy.

Compensation & Budget
Fixed Salary: ₹8L – ₹10L
Performance Variable: Uncapped

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B SaaS SDR / BDR roles
- Strong experience in cold outbound and pipeline generation
- Comfortable handling early-stage conversations with senior stakeholders
- Experience using AI tools for prospecting and sales efficiency
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and highly execution focused
