Spur is the AI Chat and Helpdesk for ecommerce brands. We unify WhatsApp, Instagram, live chat, and email into one inbox, with AI agents that handle support, recover carts, and drive conversions. 550+ brands run on us across 25+ countries, mostly through Shopify. We are a Meta Tech Partner.
About the role
We are hiring our founding marketer. You will own how Spur tells the world what it builds, from picking the story to shipping every asset. The product ships every week. We have a backlog of features live that customers love and nobody else knows about. That is the gap this role fills.
This is not a content role. A content person needs a brief. We need someone who creates the brief. You will sit with our Customer Success and Sales teams, talk to customers and prospects, figure out why a feature actually matters, and turn that into a launch that moves brands to upgrade.
AI agents handle the throughput, distribution copy, scheduling, webinar logistics. Your job is the judgment, the angle, and the story. You also get Claude Code and Codex to prototype landing pages, demos, and microsites without waiting on engineering. If you do this well, you operate like a team of three.
Responsibilities
- Own the launch calendar end to end. Four to six launches a month, from picking the story to shipping every asset.
- Script and deliver launch videos. A horizontal walkthrough and a vertical short for each feature. Recorded in Screen Studio and Instagram's edits app. Focus is shipping speed and sharp scripts, not heavy editing.
- Run pain point discovery. Regular calls with Customer Success and Sales, plus customers and prospects, to close the loop on what users want and where deals get stuck.
- Set up and run social listening. Reply to relevant conversations every day across Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, and relevant communities.
- Plan and fill weekly webinars. CS hosts them, you own the calendar and the attendance.
- Coordinate and execute partner co-marketing. We are co-hosting a full webinar with Razorpay Rize in July. More will follow.
- Final taste pass on all launch copy and visuals before anything goes out.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of product marketing experience at a SaaS or tools company, ideally one selling to brands, merchants, or business owners. D2C tooling or Shopify ecosystem context is a plus, not a must.
- Strong writer. Your English does not read like it came out of an AI.
- Comfortable on camera and on customer calls.
- You think in terms of why a feature matters and who it is for, not just what it does.
- Active on Twitter, LinkedIn, or Reddit, with a point of view on your space.
- Happy working 3 days a week from our Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi office.
Bonus
- You have run webinars before and know the playbook.
- You have shipped product launches at an early stage company and know how to do it without a big team.
- You have worked with WhatsApp, Instagram, or other conversational channels.
