We are building an AI powered cognitive intelligence platform designed to help children (ages 6–16) develop real life thinking skills. This is a first of its kind attempt on building intelligence. MindAbs cognitive training program for children aged 6-16 is designed using the research-driven NCI Framework—Narrative Cognitive Intelligence. Unlike traditional approaches that focus on academic outcomes like grades and test scores, MindAbs develops foundational cognitive skills such as reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving through real-life scenario-based dilemmas. These exercises target seven core cognitive pillars, including causal reasoning, perspective-taking, and metacognition, helping children think critically and act with intention. Backed by ReflectWise Labs Pvt Ltd, MindAbs is dedicated to nurturing the thinking skills that form the foundation for a meaningful and productive life.
Role Description
We’re currently racing toward a production-ready MVP and are looking for a Founding Frontend Engineer who wants to own the entire user experience from day 0. This is a high-impact, fast-paced role where you’ll work directly with the founder to bring a product from concept to reality in weeks. As our Founding Frontend Engineer, you will build the complete client-side application using React/Remix, integrating with backend microservices and shaping the core product experience. You’ll be at the heart of the product and define how the product feels, flows, and scales.
What You’ll Do
- Build ~30+ core screens: onboarding, dashboards, modules, and interactive flows
- Develop rich, interactive UI components:
- Implement SSR, routing, and data flows using Remix loaders/actions
- Integrate authentication (parent/kid roles, protected flows, session handling)
- Set up and manage frontend infrastructure: Deployments on Vercel, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Performance monitoring
- Optimize for performance, accessibility, and scalability
- Collaborate closely with backend and founder for rapid iterations
- Ship a production-ready frontend MVP in weeks
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience building modern web applications
- Strong expertise in React (Remix preferred, Next.js acceptable)
- Experience building interactive, product-heavy UIs (not just static pages)
- Solid understanding of: Routing, SSR, and state management; API integrations and async data handling
- Hands-on with authentication systems (Clerk, Auth0, Firebase, etc.)
- Strong CSS skills (Tailwind preferred) + attention to UI detail
- Familiarity with Vercel deployments and frontend DevOps basics
- Testing experience (Vitest, Playwright, Jest, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup with high ownership
Bonus Points
- Experience in EdTech or consumer apps
- Experience building gamified or interactive experiences
- Familiarity with real-time updates (WebSockets/polling)
- Exposure to monorepos (TurboRepo)
- Strong product sense and UI/UX intuition
