Compensation: up to ₹12 LPA, based on experience and fit.
We're hiring the first in-house engineer for a live SaaS product that sits between business websites and WhatsApp providers, solving WhatsApp attribution for paid advertising (Google Ads and similar) in markets where WhatsApp is the primary business channel.
The product has been live since May 2025 with real paying users. We're onboarding businesses, agencies, and performance marketers across the GCC, India, Singapore, and beyond. It works and it has traction. This is a founding engineer role. You'll work directly with the founder as the first in-house engineer, owning an inherited codebase solo and taking it forward. This isn't a cleanup gig and it isn't a ticket queue, it's product-led ownership of a product that's already in the market.

Integrations (as the product matures)
You'll research, scope, and build third-party integrations end-to-end, with real error handling: retries, webhooks, and edge cases, not happy-path demos.
Examples include Zapier, CRMs (HubSpot, Zoho), and OAuth-based integrations
More as the product matures
Current integrations in the platform: Google Ads, Google Sheets
The stack
Frontend: React, Next.js
Backend: Firebase, GCP, Cloud Functions

Billing: Stripe
Lifecycle and support: Customer.io (lifecycle email), Intercom
Error monitoring: Sentry
Deployment: Vercel
Current integrations: Google Ads, Google Sheets
Who we're looking for
Mindset matters more than years on a CV:
A founding engineer at heart. You get excited about owning an inherited codebase solo, taking on responsibility, and driving product-led ownership. You want this, you're not just willing to tolerate it.
A quick starter. You get up to speed fast, make independent decisions, and don't wait to be assigned tasks. You see what needs doing and do it.
Owner, not order-taker. You take a direction and run with it. You figure things out without waiting to be told.
Analytical. You arrive with analysis and a point of view, not status updates.
Direct communicator. Confident, not timid. Comfortable giving honest feedback and making independent decisions.
AI-native. You actively use AI in your day to day development and it makes you faster.
Technical requirements
React and Next.js: hands-on, practical
Firebase / GCP: comfortable with Cloud Functions and a serverless backend
Analytics: PostHog or a comparable product analytics tool
Experience: 1+ year in a production environment
Product sense: understands churn, retention, and how to prioritise user impact
Strong bonuses
WhatsApp BSP (API) experience. Our product interacts directly with the WhatsApp BSP and Meta Business Suite ecosystem. Hands-on experience here is a massive plus.
Exposure to Stripe, Sentry, or lifecycle tooling (Customer.io / Intercom)
What this is not
Not a team of ten engineers with standups and sprint planning
Not a role where someone hands you a PRD and a Figma file and tells you what to build
