Company Description Revternal is building a real-time developer data intelligence layer for the AI-native ecosystem, enabling products and teams that hire, collaborate with, or sell to developers. Founded by IIT Roorkee batchmates with extensive experience in data and go-to-market for B2B SaaS and AI companies, Revternal focuses on an API-first platform that powers AI agents, SaaS products, and developer-focused GTM motion. Core offerings include Search APIs to discover developers programmatically, Enrich APIs for deep profiles across skills and experience, and Intel APIs for real-time behavioral signals. Listener APIs further allow customers to track developer conversations by specific keywords and phrases, unlocking timely and targeted insights. As an early-stage company, Revternal offers an opportunity to shape a high-impact product at the intersection of AI, data, and developer tools.
Role Description As a Founding Engineer at Revternal, you will design, build, and scale core APIs and data infrastructure that power real-time developer intelligence. You will work closely with the founders to make key architectural decisions, implement reliable backend services, and ensure the platform is secure, performant, and highly available. Daily responsibilities include coding and reviewing production-quality software, integrating third-party data sources, optimizing data pipelines, and improving search, enrichment, and listener capabilities. You will collaborate with product and GTM to translate customer needs into technical solutions, participate in rapid experimentation, and contribute to internal tooling and deployment workflows. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, where you will help shape the engineering culture and mentor future team members.
Qualifications
- Strong backend engineering skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Node.js, with experience building and maintaining production APIs.
- Experience with data-intensive systems, including working with databases (SQL/NoSQL), data modeling, and real-time data processing or streaming.
- Familiarity with search technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, OpenSearch, or similar) and profile enrichment or entity resolution concepts.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker), and CI/CD practices for reliable deployments.
- Understanding of developer tools, SaaS products, and AI-driven applications, especially in HRTech, recruiting, or GTM workflows.
- Ability to collaborate in a fast-moving startup environment, take ownership end-to-end, and work closely with founders and cross-functional partners.
- Comfort with writing clean, testable code, conducting code reviews, and improving engineering standards and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in high-impact engineering roles.
