We’re looking for a Founding Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who will act as the primary architect and builder of our entire technology foundation.
This is a true Greenfield opportunity -> systems, no constraints, and no existing infrastructure. You will design and build everything from scratch for an AI-driven product at the intersection of MarTech, advanced data systems, and agentic AI.
What You'll Own
- Architect, build, and manage scalable AWS cloud infrastructure from scratch
- Design secure cloud foundations including networking, IAM, security boundaries, and multi-environment deployments
- Build and maintain production-grade infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines (ingestion → processing → storage → consumption)
- Build cloud-native systems capable of supporting AI, analytics, and high-growth product workloads
- Support and operationalize AI/LLM workloads in production environments
- Design and implement distributed systems, async processing workflows, and event-driven architectures
- Build and automate CI/CD pipelines, internal tooling, and developer workflows
- Own infrastructure scalability, reliability, observability, security, and cost optimization
- Make foundational architectural decisions in a fast-moving startup environment
- Work closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to translate ideas into scalable systems
Must-Have Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Infrastructure experience
- Strong expertise in AWS services (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, CloudFront, Load Balancers, CloudWatch)
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred)
- Experience designing and building cloud infrastructure from scratch
- Experience supporting AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and async processing
- Strong Linux, networking, security, and cloud architecture fundamentals
- Experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud-native deployments
- Ability to independently own architecture decisions in a startup environment
Good-to-Have Skills
- Kubernetes (EKS/ECS) and container orchestration
- Vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, pgvector)
- RAG architectures, embeddings, and semantic retrieval systems
- Kafka, Redis, SQS, EventBridge, or high-throughput messaging systems
- LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or AI infrastructure tooling
- GPU workloads, AI inference infrastructure, or MLOps experience
- Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, dbt, or modern data platforms
- Cost optimization, observability, and highly available system design
- Experience in zero-to-one startup environments
