Job details:
MMXC is a pioneering technology company based in the Greater Delhi Area, dedicated to advancing the boundaries of artificial intelligence to create high-impact, autonomous solutions. We foster a collaborative, growth-driven environment at the intersection of AI innovation and practical enterprise applications. Our flagship project, Orb, is a digital workforce management platform designed to provide organizations with a sovereign, secure, and durable fleet of AI workers capable of performing complex, high-stakes tasks.
Mission & Vision
Our mission is to build the "Operating System" for the next generation of digital labor. We believe the future of enterprise AI must be sovereign—running locally, securely, and privately. Orb is designed to move beyond simple chatbots and into the realm of autonomous reasoning. By leveraging our proprietary CELRE and the Model Context Protocol (MCP), we are building a workforce that can discover, audit, and interact with enterprise software ecosystems with human-level precision and machine-level scale.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Founding AI Engineer, you will lead the evolution of the Orb orchestration engine and its integration into enterprise environments. This is an on-site, full-time role where you will:
- Scale the Reasoning Architecture: Evolve the multi-gate LangGraph state machine (CELRE) to handle long-running, multi-turn trajectories that maintain state across system restarts and network partitions.
- Architect MCP Tools: Design and deploy custom Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers that serve as the "senses and hands" for our agents, enabling them to crawl and interact with diverse software stacks.
- Optimize Local Inference: Maintain our commitment to sovereign AI by optimizing the performance of local models (e.g., DeepSeek-R1, Mistral) using vLLM and Ollama for high-throughput, private execution.
- Implement Workforce Observability: Build deep tracing and telemetry systems to monitor agent performance, token efficiency, and "thought" accuracy using OpenTelemetry and real-time streaming.
- Durable State Management: Design robust persistence layers using Redis, Qdrant, and SQLite to ensure the digital workforce retains context and memory across weeks of autonomous operation.
Who You Are
- A Systems Architect: You have a strong proficiency in Computer Science and Software Development, with a focus on building scalable, event-driven AI systems rather than just prompts.
- Expert Builder: You are highly proficient in Python and machine learning frameworks, with specific experience in LangGraph, Temporal, or similar durable orchestration patterns.
- Local AI Specialist: You have hands-on experience with local LLM deployment (Ollama/vLLM) and understand the nuances of quantization and inference optimization.
- Product-Minded Partner: You are comfortable solving complex technical challenges in a cross-functional team and want to be a core stakeholder in every major technical and product decision.
- Credentials: A Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence is highly desirable, as is previous experience in an AI-focused startup or launching scalable agentic systems.
Why Join Orb?
- Founding Equity: As a core team member, you will receive a significant equity stake, reflecting your role as a partner in MMXC’s success.
- Sovereign Tech Leadership: You will work on a cutting-edge stack that runs 100% locally and privately, staying ahead of the "Sovereign AI" movement.
- High Autonomy: You will lead the development of critical modules in a recently refactored, clean-slate environment with the resources to move fast.
- Impactful Innovation: Join a collaborative team in the Greater Delhi Area pushing the limits of what’s possible in digital workforce management and autonomous reasoning.
