Job Description - Founding Account Executive (Founding AE)

About the Role
We are hiring a Founding Account Executive to build and scale the company’s revenue engine. This role requires someone who thrives in high-growth startup environments and is comfortable owning the full sales cycle end-to-end.
Unlike traditional enterprise sales roles, the Founding AE will own the entire revenue journey - including lead generation, pipeline building, discovery, deal management, negotiation, and revenue closure.
This is an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the company’s sales strategy, GTM motion, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Full Cycle Revenue Ownership- Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
- Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound qualification, and strategic networking.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline while accurately forecasting revenue.
Discovery & Consultative Selling- Conduct high-quality discovery calls to understand customer challenges.
- Translate product capabilities into clear business outcomes and ROI-driven value propositions.
- Deliver product demonstrations and customized solutions.
Strategic Deal Management- Manage multi-stakeholder sales processes involving CMOs, VP Marketing, Growth Leaders, and Finance teams.
- Lead negotiations, procurement processes, and contract closure.
GTM Process Development- Help build and refine sales playbooks, discovery frameworks, and qualification processes.
- Improve pipeline conversion and sales efficiency.
- Partner with marketing to optimize inbound lead conversion.
Market Intelligence & Product Feedback- Provide customer insights to help refine product positioning and roadmap.
- Share competitive intelligence and market trends with leadership.
Expectations in a Founding Role
- Operate with high ownership and accountability.
- Be comfortable working in fast-moving startup environments.
- Take initiative in building processes where none exist.
- Act as a revenue owner rather than a deal executor.
Sales Targets
Typical expectations:
- Deal Size: Quarterly plans of US$3,000 - US$8,000 for the most popular service
- Sales Cycle: 7 – 15 days
Compensation & Budget
Fixed Salary: ₹11L - ₹15L
Performance Variable: Uncapped

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 2–3 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales
- Proven track record of owning full-cycle sales
- Experience closing mid-market or enterprise deals
- Strong discovery and consultative selling skills
- Experience working in early-stage or scaling startups
- Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills
