About Asan
Asan was founded on the belief that quality period care should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income or background. Since our launch in 2021, we have reached 200,000+ women through product sales and social impact programmes globally across South Asia, Europe and Africa.
Job Description
The Founder's Office Associate is a high-trust, high-exposure role. You'll work directly with the Founder across some of the most important and varied work in the business - from D2C growth and product development to social impact reporting and partnership expansion.
This is not an assistant or admin role. You'll be expected to switch between multiple hats, and bring strong judgment to a variety of situations. If you thrive in ambiguity and want experience in every aspect of running an impact driven start-up, this role is for you.
The ideal candidate is a person who loves saying “yes” and figuring things out!
What we need from you:
Strategic Communications
- Help maintain consistency in Asan's tone and voice across channels, flagging where content needs founder or team review before going out.
- Manage end-to-end strategy and execution of Asan's website across product sales and social impact - ensuring every touchpoint is aligned with the Marketing and Social Impact teams.
- Track website conversion analytics, pull together regular reporting, and flag trends or issues to the Founder and Head of D2C. Familiarity with Shopify backend is a plus.
- Draft and coordinate copy across a range of formats: social media captions, newsletters, blog posts, campaign messaging, impact reports, grant applications and pitch decks.
- Support Meta and Google ad operations: including performance reviews, flagging issues, and coordinating the internal marketing team.
- Manage email marketing account health, segmentation, and audience setup. Familiarity with Klaviyo is a plus.
B2B & Partnerships
- Schedule and prepare briefing notes for calls with impact partners, NGOs, and academic institutions.
- Manage the Asan impact calculator for accurate reporting metrics.
- Support logistics and documentation for external events and conferences.
Product Development
- Research and track manufacturer and vendor options for new product development.
- Manage timelines between internal teams and external vendors.
- Manage optimisation of existing products, including design iterations and upgrades (Asan App, Period Underwear, Journal etc).
Hiring & Founder Support
- Own end-to-end hiring logistics across multiple roles: JDs, job postings, application management, screening, interview coordination, and all candidate communications.
- Prepare briefing notes, research summaries, and one-pagers for meetings and external calls.
- Support the founder on ad-hoc tasks.
Requirements
- A bachelors/masters degree from a leading institution.
- 2-5 years of experience in a generalist, Chief of Staff, communications or growth role.
- Exceptional organisational skills: comfortable managing five different workstreams at once.
- Strong written communication: you draft emails, briefs and documents that don't need to be rewritten.
- Sharp judgment: you know when to act independently and when to escalate.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to do whatever needs doing in a startup environment.
- A genuine passion for Asan's mission and an understanding of the issues around menstrual equity.
What we can offer you:
- Purpose-driven work: Join a mission-led startup that’s working to end period poverty and create real impact for women and girls around the world.
- Room to lead: You’ll have the freedom to take ownership, make decisions, and drive the brand's voice from start to finish.
- Grow with us: We’re a fast-growing startup, so you’ll get hands-on experience and the chance to build valuable connections across industries.
- Supportive team: Work alongside a fun, passionate team that values collaboration, creativity and continuous learning.
- Fair pay: We offer a competitive salary, with lots of room to grow based on your performance.
