About Nova
Nova is an early-stage AI startup building AIRA — a Friction Intelligence System that sits inside team communication tools like Slack and Teams. We detect where work is breaking down, whether that's a miscommunication, a delayed decision, or a team quietly burning out — and we surface that intelligence at the right moment, to the right person, without adding noise.
We are a team of six people moving fast. We are not building another analytics dashboard or HR tool. We are building something that sits at the intersection of execution and human behavior — a layer of intelligence that most teams desperately need but can't yet articulate.
Why We're Hiring This Role
We'll be direct with you.
The founder is context-switching constantly — between product decisions, team alignment, investor conversations, hiring, and a hundred small things that never make it onto a to-do list. High-quality thinking happens every day. But a lot of it gets lost before it reaches the team, before it becomes a document, before it becomes action.
That gap between thinking and execution is our biggest internal bottleneck right now. This role exists to close that gap.
This is not a "learn and observe" role. You will be working directly with the founder, owning real responsibilities from day one, in conditions that are sometimes unclear and always fast-moving.
If you perform well over four months, this becomes a full-time position. That is a genuine commitment, not a formality.
What You Will Actually Do
Be the execution layer between the founder's thinking and the team's action:
- Capture decisions and priorities from daily conversations and turn them into structured notes or tasks the team can act on
- Track open loops — things discussed but not yet done — and follow up internally without being asked
- Organize existing product thinking, frameworks, and strategy docs into a single source of truth
- Maintain a running log of decisions so the founder is not the only source of context in a six-person team
- Research and prepare briefs before investor meetings, hiring conversations, or partnership calls
- Keep the team aligned — flag when things are drifting, unclear, or at risk of being missed
- Reduce the founder's need to repeat context or chase internal follow-ups
In short: 30 minutes with the founder every morning, then you own the day's execution from there.
What We're Looking For
We are not looking for someone who needs detailed task descriptions. We are looking for someone who can take a half-formed thought and turn it into something useful.

- You write clearly and concisely, no fluff
- You follow through without being reminded
- You notice things that aren't your job but matter
- You are based in Hyderabad — this is an in-person role, no exceptions
- You can start in June 2025
Prior startup or consulting experience is a plus. What matters more is how you think and how you operate.
