The Role
SVF Entertainment — Bengal's most storied media house with over three decades of content creation, film distribution, exhibition, and streaming — is building its Founder's Office function. This is not a generalist support role. The Founder's Office Associate will operate as a strategic extension of the Founder: running high-priority initiatives, synthesizing intelligence across business units, and translating executive intent into structured execution plans.
You will work across content strategy, business development, operations, and marketing — often context-switching across all four in a single day. Your output will directly influence decisions made at the top of one of India's most iconic regional media companies.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Structured thinking and communication: Structured thinking and communication — ability to move from a vague brief to a structured output in under 24 hours.
- AI proficiency in practice: Regular, fluent use of LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini), workflow automation (Make, Zapier), and AI research tools in daily work — not just awareness.
- Analytical ability: Comfort with quantitative reasoning, spreadsheet modeling, and data-driven argumentation; not required to be a data scientist, but must not be data-avoidant.
- Executive communication: Written and verbal communication that is tight, confident, and calibrated to audience — whether writing to a VP or briefing the Founder directly.
Strongly Preferred
- Familiarity with media/entertainment industry dynamics — ideally Bengali or Indian regional M&E.
- Comfort navigating legacy organisational structures with patience and intelligence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of experience in strategy, operations, or media.
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in business, economics, liberal arts, media studies, or a related field — pedigree is secondary to demonstrated ability.
- Experience using AI tools to meaningfully increase personal output quality or speed — and the ability to articulate how.
What you'll do
Strategic Execution & Project Ownership
- Own and drive high-priority projects assigned directly by the Founder — from problem framing to final delivery, without hand-holding.
- Build structured execution plans for ambiguous mandates; convert open-ended directions into sequenced action with clear owners, timelines, and metrics.
- Prepare founder-level communication materials: strategy memos, board-ready presentations, briefing notes, and decision frameworks.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication
- Serve as the Founder's representative in inter-departmental discussions — carrying authority, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring alignment.
- Bridge communication between the Founder's Office and senior leaders across departments.
- Prepare and facilitate key meetings — draft agendas, capture decisions and action items, and follow up with accountability.
AI-First Process & Tool Building
- Embed AI tools (LLMs, automation workflows, research agents) into day-to-day operations of the Founder's Office to increase speed and reduce cognitive overhead.
- Identify internal workflows that are manual, redundant, or slow — and propose AI-augmented or tool-based alternatives.
- Stay current on AI productivity tools relevant to media, business intelligence, and content operations; share actionable recommendations with the team.
