Renate is Looking for: Founder's Associate
The Role As Founder's Associate at Renate, you are the operational nerve center of the company. This is not an administrative seat. You are the Founder's shadow. You run the day-to-day machinery of the business while the Founder drives sales, product, and strategy. You own everything internal so the Founder can focus on everything external. When something needs to get done and there is no one else to do it, you do it. When a process does not exist, you build it. When something breaks, you fix it before anyone notices. You report directly to the Founder-CEO.
Your Impact
- Run daily office operations end-to-end, including schedules, meetings, travel, logistics, supplies, internet, courier, and maintenance, without friction
- Track all expenses, invoices, and payments; coordinate with the CA for GST, TDS, and compliance filings; manage Razorpay payouts, vendor payments, and petty cash
- Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records at all times
- Handle internal HR, including onboarding new hires and interns, offer letters, attendance, documentation, and payroll processing
- Be the first point of contact for any team member's operational needs
- Maintain all official records and compliance, including incorporation certificates, MOUs, NDAs, contracts, insurance, and regulatory filings, so nothing expires, nothing is missing, and nothing is unsigned
- Manage vendor and service-provider relationships, procurement, deliveries, and field-ops coordination including intern deployment across Mumbai
- Run chief-of-staff functions, including preparing agendas, briefs, and background materials for the Founder's meetings, tracking action items, following up on deliverables, and serving as the Founder's operational filter
- Flex into any function, including covering for the BD Manager when needed, handling client escalations, and coordinating with legal counsel on notices, as the failsafe for every function in the company
What You Bring
- 2 to 5 years in operations, EA, or chief of staff roles in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Obsessive organization, where you do not drop things and do not need to be reminded
- Strong written and verbal communication in English and Hindi
- Comfort with numbers, including basic accounting, expense tracking, and budgeting
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic Indian business compliance
- Fluency with Google Workspace, Notion (or equivalent), WhatsApp Business, and the Razorpay dashboard
- Zero ego about small tasks and high capacity for handling large ones
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate without detailed instructions
- Mumbai-based, available to start immediately
Nice to Have
- Prior exposure to recruitment, HR tech, or staffing-adjacent businesses
- Experience setting up processes from scratch in an early-stage company
- Familiarity with handling field operations or distributed intern/contractor teams
- Direct experience working with a founder or CEO as their primary operational partner
