SciSpace is a series-funded startup. We have raised 4.5 million USD to date, with the most recent fundraise in October 2021 from US-based VC firms. We have expanded our product portfolio with the launch of “SciSpace” - the world’s largest social platform for Research - hosting 200M+ publications and 50M+ profiles. Think of it like medium.com for hosting and discovering academic papers. We are looking for insatiably curious, always learning Senior Research Scientist. You could get a chance to work on the most important and challenging problems at scale.
We’re looking for a Founder-Led Marketing Specialist to work directly with the CEO to architect and scale a trusted public voice in AI for research.
This role is not about content volume. It’s about building trust, clarity, and domain leadership in AI for research and science.
You will transform real founder thinking — product decisions, strategic bets, experiments, and first-principles insights into high-signal narratives that inform, challenge, and elevate the conversation around how research is created and consumed.
Responsibilities
- Own the founder-led marketing function end-to-end, from narrative architecture to distribution and performance.
- Be the primary voice of the founders across LinkedIn, X, long-form essays, newsletters, podcasts, and interviews.
- Develop narrative pillars around AI in science, academia, and research
- Partner closely with founders to extract thinking frameworks, strategic bets, and behind-the-scenes lessons.
- Translate raw founder inputs (notes, product debates, experiments, decisions, breakthroughs) into sharp, structured, high-conviction thought leadership content pieces.
- Work closely with product, growth, sales, and research teams to uncover the ideas that need to be told
- Shape distribution strategy (guest posting, PR collabs, community posting, etc.) and ensure content reaches researchers, academics, and R&D teams globally.
- Engage meaningfully with the audience — drive thoughtful dialogue, sparking conversations, responding thoughtfully, and building trust over time.
- Track and evaluate narrative impact: quality of engagement, inbound opportunities, perception shifts, speaking invites, and strategic partnerships.
Our Ideal Candidate Would
- Have 3-4 years of experience building or leading founder-led marketing for a startup or high-growth company.
- Have a strong portfolio of founder-level thought leadership content that built credibility and shaped perception.
- Think like a journalist or researcher who is curious, skeptical, detail-oriented, and unwilling to publish shallow takes
- Write with clarity, conviction, and authenticity, no corporate fluff.
- Be comfortable challenging ideas and sharpening founder thinking before it goes public.
- Know how to balance raw notes with strategic positioning.
- Be able to move between long-form essays and high-signal short-form social content seamlessly.
Operate with high ownership and speed.
