about build3: for 4 years we've built alongside founders. 8 accelerator cohorts, 400+ founders in our network, 37 portfolio companies. the build3 startup studio is our most hands-on program yet. one problem. 90 days. proof.
what's the role?: you're not at zero. you have product, customers, and signal. what you don't yet have is the structured boost to push past what's holding you up. as a founder in residence you'll pick one problem and go all the way in on it, cobuilding with a team of sherpas, operators who've walked this route with hundreds of founders before you. we build week by week until the work is good enough to ship. this is cobuilding, not consulting. an advisor gives you captain america. we bring the avengers, sherpas across fundraising, go-to-market, team, finance and brand, measured on your outcome, not our hours.
pick one track:
● fundraise, for founders getting meetings but not closing. outcome: a fundable story backed by evidence, and 3+ warm investor conversations in active diligence by sprint close.
● go-to-market, for founders whose growth is entirely founder-shaped. outcome: one channel showing repeatable acquisition at defensible unit economics, running without you.
● team-build, for founders where every decision still runs through them. outcome: the specific hire you needed sourced and onboarded, and you freed from at least one critical function.
how the 90 days work:
● opening residency, 5 days at the build3 startup studio in goa. charter locked, problem statement tight, side by side with your sherpas.
● remote sprint, 11 weeks. weekly working sessions that are scheduled and sacrosanct, three checkpoints, founder circles for peer accountability.
● closing residency, 5 days at the studio. sprint debrief, demo day for qualifying founders, playbook v1 that's yours to keep.
what you can expect: one problem solved deeply beats three problems workshopped. a full bench of sherpas matched to your charter, your track, your week. two 5-day residencies at the studio in goa, deep focused work by day, evenings with the cohort. demo day and warm intros to our investor network, earned through sprint progress. a relationship that doesn't end at day 90, cofounder matching if a gap surfaced, and continued access to the build3 network as you grow.
who we're looking for:
● post-revenue founders, roughly pre-seed to pre-Series A, with product and traction.
● founders with one clear inflection-point problem they're ready to move on.
● solo founders and cofounder teams, both welcome.
● founders who want operators in the work with them, not a report and a handshake.
who we're not looking for:
● pre-revenue or still validating. that's a 0-to-1 problem, our accelerator (accelerator.build3.org) is the better fit.
● founders looking for information over real work.
● anyone planning to go dark. founders who stay visible get everything the network can give. founders who go quiet get nothing.
track record: 4 years building with founders. 8 accelerator cohorts, 400+ founders, 37 portfolio companies. this cohort is capped at 5 founders, and up to 2 spots are open to curated external founders, you don't have to be a build3 alum.
