Role Description The Founder at Aegis Stay will lead the overall vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations of the company in Phagwara Tehsil. This is a full-time, on-site role that involves overseeing property management, guest experience, and service quality while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with local regulations. The Founder will be responsible for building and managing a small core team, developing partnerships with vendors and local stakeholders, and driving business development and marketing initiatives to grow occupancy and revenue. Daily activities include reviewing key performance metrics, making data-informed decisions, managing budgets, and resolving operational issues promptly. The role also requires continuous improvement of processes, exploration of new service offerings, and maintaining a strong on-ground presence to understand customer needs and market trends.
Qualifications
- Proven entrepreneurial mindset with experience starting, leading, or significantly shaping a business or major project.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, including the ability to hire, mentor, and motivate small, cross-functional teams.
- Business development and sales abilities, including networking, partnership-building, and negotiation skills.
- Operational management experience in hospitality, real estate, or a related field, with a focus on process optimization and quality control.
- Financial literacy, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and basic understanding of P&L and cash flow.
- Customer-centric mindset with excellent communication and problem-solving skills for handling guest inquiries and escalations.
- Capability to work on-site in Phagwara Tehsil and maintain regular presence at properties and with local stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred; significant relevant experience may substitute formal education.
- Comfort with using digital tools and platforms for bookings, property management, and marketing; familiarity with social media marketing is a plus.
- High level of integrity, resilience, and willingness to take ownership in a fast-changing, early-stage environment.
