About Respirit
Respirit Healthcare is a Guwahati-based medtech startup building an AI-enabled portable respiratory diagnostic device for India's underdiagnosed COPD and asthma population — backed by a CDSCO manufacturing licence and incubated at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park, NSRCEL (IIM Bangalore), and IIT Guwahati. We also run Breathe Superspeciality Clinic, giving us something most device startups don't have: real patients, real clinical data, and real revenue.
What you'll actually do
- Founder's shadow work: Prepare briefing notes before meetings, capture decisions and action items after them, and chase follow-ups until they close.
- Grants & documentation: Assemble annexures, compile supporting documents, track deadlines, and maintain application trackers for government and institutional grant programmes.
- Clinic operations support: Pull patient and revenue data, build simple dashboards and reports, and support ongoing projects like patient reactivation campaigns and corporate health screening outreach.
- Research on demand: Competitor scans, regulatory look-ups, vendor comparisons, market sizing — fast, structured, and with sources.
- Whatever is on fire that week. This is a startup. The job description is a floor, not a ceiling.
What you'll learn
- How a medical device actually moves from prototype to market in India — regulatory, clinical, and commercial.
- How early-stage healthcare companies raise non-dilutive funding (we've secured ₹1.7 Cr+ in grants; you'll see how).
- How a founder prioritises when everything is urgent.
- How to write documents that get read by government evaluators, investors, and doctors.
Who this is for
- Final-year students or recent graduates in any discipline — management, life sciences, engineering, commerce, or humanities. We care about how you think, not what you studied.
- You write clearly, work in Google Docs/Sheets without hand-holding, and are comfortable with numbers.
- You are organised to the point of mild obsession: you keep lists, you close loops, you don't need reminders.
- You can be told "this isn't good enough" without wilting, and come back with a better version.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Guwahati for the internship period.
