About the Role
ReviewAndRatings.com is an early-stage editorial platform focused on books, reviews, and thoughtful discovery. We’re building this from the ground up, and we’re looking for someone to work directly with the founder and help run the company end to end.
This role sits at the center of everything — people, projects, communication, and growth. You’ll act as the operational backbone of the company and gradually take ownership of processes as the platform scales.
This is not a passive role. It’s for someone who enjoys responsibility, coordination, and making things move.
What You’ll Do
- Work closely with the founder on daily priorities and execution
- Act as a project manager for ongoing work with authors, contributors, designers, developers, and freelancers
- Streamline workflows for content, reviews, launches, and collaborations
- Manage all inbound and outbound communication (LinkedIn DMs, emails, follow-ups)
- Handle early outreach, leads, partnerships, and sales conversations
- Coordinate author submissions, audience queries, and community interactions
- Track tasks, timelines, and deliverables across teams
- Ensure smooth handoffs between people and processes
- Support hiring, shortlisting, and candidate communication
- Keep documents, trackers, and internal systems organized
If it touches people, projects, or growth — you’re involved.
Research & Editorial Support
- Research book trends, publishing news, and book-related events
- Stay updated with book launches, literary festivals, and reading communities
- Help identify collaboration opportunities with authors, publishers, and book platforms
- Support the founder with insights around books, content, and audience behavior
A genuine interest in books and content is important for this role.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong project management and coordination skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Comfortable speaking to different stakeholders — authors, creators, audiences
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and handle ambiguity
- Curious, research-driven, and eager to learn
- Interest in books, publishing, events, or content ecosystems
We care more about ownership, clarity, and execution than formal titles or years of experience.
Compensation
Unpaid (3 months)
(This is an early-stage role with real responsibility and scope to grow as the company grows.)
