Job details:
We’re building SpaceSync. We’re building AIRA — the AI model that’s going to do for architecture what GPT did for writing. We need a real architect in the founder’s office to make sure AIRA doesn’t generate buildings only an engineer could love.
This isn’t a “product specialist” seat with a fancy title. You’ll sit next to the founders, ship weekly, fight for the user, and own outcomes. If “process” and “alignment meetings” get you excited, scroll on.
What you’ll actually do:
• Be the architect-in-residence in the founder’s office — translate real AEC workflows into product specs and into AIRA’s training data
• Make AIRA smarter: rate its outputs, build the evals, write the rubrics, generate the edge cases. You are the taste layer between our model and the market.
• Partner with the founders and engineering on how SpaceSheets, SpaceShow, and the bidirectional sync engine should feel for working architects
• Validate AI-generated outputs (massing, layouts, facades) against design intent and building codes
• Run user research with global design firms — and turn insights into PRDs by Friday, not Q3
• Build a benchmark library of real projects, test scenarios, and “what good actually looks like”
• Represent SpaceSync at industry events, partner calls, and customer demos
You’re our person if you:
• Hold a B.Arch or M.Arch from a recognised program — and yes, we mean it. Engineering degrees with an architecture flavour don’t count. COA-registered is a plus.
• Have 0–2 years of experience — fresh grads absolutely welcome. Bonus if you’ve interned at a design firm and have hands-on time with Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, or SketchUp.
• Know your way around space programming, massing, and basic code compliance
• Write sharply. We’ll know in the first paragraph of your application.
• Are hungry. You’d rather ship a rough thing today than a perfect thing in three weeks.
Hard pass if you:
• Want a 9-to-6 with zero surprises
• Need three meetings to make one decision
• Treat “founder’s office” as a line item on your way to an MBA
What you get:
• Founding-team ESOP — meaningful, not symbolic
• Competitive cash, calibrated to what you bring to the table
• A front-row seat as we build a category — you’ll see the deals, the model, the strategy, everything
• The rare chance to teach an AI what good architecture looks like, and have your taste shape a product used by firms across the US, UK, and EU
