Resident Therapist – Foundations Family Therapy Residency Program

At Foundations Family Therapy (FFT), we are passionate about providing compassionate, client-centered care while supporting the professional growth of our clinicians. Our Residency Program is designed for provisionally licensed therapists who are building their clinical foundation and preparing for independent licensure.
Position Summary
We are seeking motivated and dedicated Resident Therapists to join our team. This 2–3 year residency program provides intensive clinical supervision, mentorship, specialized training, and hands-on experience in a collaborative private practice environment. Residents are an integral part of our team, providing exceptional therapy services while growing in their professional identity.

Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: Base + Commission pay structure. Base salary of $36,000 with 25% commission with revenue over that in the pay period.
- Eligibility for Increase: After successful completion of Year 1
- Schedule: 32–40 hours per week, including at least 23 direct client hours
- Paid Time Off: 2 weeks annually
- Holidays: 6 paid holidays annually

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
- Current provisional license in North Carolina (LMFTA, LCSWA, or LCMHCA)
- Less than one year of post-graduate clinical experience
- Commitment to providing client care across diverse backgrounds in the first year
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and willingness to work collaboratively
