Program Overview
At Foster, we’re passionate about connecting people and their food. The LEAD Girls Ambassador Program is a six‑week leadership and career exploration experience designed to empower young women through hands‑on exposure to our business, our people, and our values. As a LEAD Girls Ambassador, participants will rotate through key departments, learn directly from leaders and mentors, and build essential skills in communication, teamwork, accountability, and decision‑making. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to develop confidence, discover career possibilities, and grow as a future leader while gaining real‑world insight into how Foster operates and serves its communities.
Throughout the program, participants will rotate through key areas of the organization while completing a capstone project focused on proposing a process improvement or innovative idea. The program is grounded in Foster’s core values and is designed to help participants build confidence, professional awareness, and leadership readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured 6‑week rotational program across departments including Learning & Development, Operations, Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Customer Experience, Transportation, Procurement, and Accounting
- Engage in weekly leadership workshops focused on:
- Self‑awareness and personal strengths
- Workplace culture and leadership mindset
- Discipline, responsibility, and integrity
- Teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving
- Innovation, financial responsibility, and smart business decisions
- Collaborate with peers, mentors, and department leaders on learning activities and discussions
- Develop and present a final project proposing a process improvement or new idea aligned with Foster’s values
- Demonstrate professionalism, curiosity, and accountability throughout the program
- Act as a positive ambassador for Foster’s culture and values
