We’re on the hunt for a Software Business Analyst who loves solving real-world problems, shaping great software, and making sense of complexity.


About the Role

You’ll be joining Foster Moore’s product delivery squad—think of it as the brains and heart behind our registry products. These aren’t your average off-the-shelf solutions. We're building tools that help governments and organizations around the world manage vital information (think business registrations, licensing, and more).


Your mission:

Help us deliver meaningful software features, shape the product roadmap, and make the complex simple for our users. From user stories and stakeholder workshops to technical specifications and training materials—you’ll be right in the middle of it all.


What you'll do:

  • Work with stakeholders to turn ideas into well-defined features that deliver value
  • Lead discovery, story mapping, backlog grooming, and support development teams through the delivery lifecycle
  • Dive into customer needs and market trends to keep our products smart and relevant
  • Partner closely with Product Managers, Sales & Marketing teams, and Business Consultants to architect forward-thinking solutions grounded in strategic business insights
  • Ensure adherence to the product’s architectural principles, established service design patterns, and core software components are followed
  • Collaborate with the Delivery Manager, as needed, to manage delivery objectives and timelines in alignment with the product roadmap
  • Ensure all stakeholder-facing documentation—including 'as-built' product specifications, release notes, and training materials—is clear, accurate, and effective in supporting feature development and delivery
  • Create clear, engaging documentation—from specs to release notes to training guides
  • Mentor consultants and help them roll out our solutions with confidence
  • Contribute to the advancement of robust Business Analysis practices and promote collaboration across the Foster Moore Business Analysis community
  • Lead product support and maintenance initiatives, encompassing issue triage, root cause analysis, task prioritization and allocation, scoping, and quality review of deliverables


What you bring:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in the delivery and implementation of software solutions
  • A tertiary qualification in tech, engineering, or a related field
  • Comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle
  • Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure while prioritizing competing demands
  • Exceptional skills in specification writing, documentation, and training delivery
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and executing strategic initiatives
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a deep understanding of business processes
  • Analytical thinking that helps connect business needs to technical solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage confidently with both end-users and IT professionals across all organisational levels
