Role Description This is a full-time, on-site FOS (Field Operations / Field Officer) Collection Executive role based in Indore. The FOS Collection Executive will be responsible for visiting customers in the field to follow up on pending payments, explaining outstanding dues, and collecting installments or overdue amounts in a professional and compliant manner. The role includes maintaining accurate records of visits and collections, updating collection status in company systems or reports, and coordinating with the internal team for escalations or settlements. The executive will also educate customers on payment options, resolve basic queries, and ensure that all collection activities follow company policies and applicable guidelines. Regular travel within the assigned territory, meeting daily and monthly collection targets, and maintaining positive customer relationships are key parts of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage field visits, plan routes efficiently, and handle on-site customer interactions in Indore and nearby areas.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to explain dues clearly, handle objections, and encourage timely payments.
- Basic documentation and record-keeping skills to maintain accurate collection reports, receipts, and visit logs.
- Comfort using smartphones or basic digital tools/apps to update collection status and share information with the office team.
- Knowledge of local geography in Indore and surrounding areas, with a willingness to travel extensively for field collections.
- Minimum educational qualification: Higher Secondary (10+2); a graduate degree in any stream is an advantage.
- Prior experience in collections, field sales, microfinance, banking, or NBFC roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work with integrity, follow company policies, and maintain a professional, respectful approach with all customers.
- Comfort working towards daily, weekly, and monthly targets, with basic numeracy skills to handle cash or digital payments accurately.
- Local language proficiency (Hindi; additional regional languages are a plus) and basic English reading/writing skills.
